BiSH (BRAND-NEW IDOL SHIT) FILL THE SHOES OF THEIR PREDECESSORS - SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM RELEASED

Earlier this year Junnosuke Watanabe (WACK) announced the formation of BiSH (Brand-new idol SHiT), successors to outlandish idol group BiS (Brand-new idol Society) who disbanded in 2014.

When BiS formed in 2010 they turned the immaculate world of idol music on its head, mixing rock and metal as well as grotesque imagery with the genre's trademark elements. Now BiSH, formed of members Momoko Gumi Company, Saint Chihiro Chitti, Aina The End, and Hug Mii, are here to fill their predecessor's shoes. Though with one of the original five members calling it quits a month before the release of the group's debut album, it's been a rocky start for the now foursome.

But despite the setbacks, last week they brawled with You’ll Melt More! at Shibuya WWW, kicked off a string over mini-shows across Tokyo and Osaka, and yesterday they dropped their 13-track self-titled album. Filled to the brim with heavy hits and dance tunes- this might just be what every BiS fan has been waiting for!

'Brand-new idol SHiT' is now available for digital download from Amazon.co.uk.

MONO RETURN FOR THEIR SECOND EUROPEAN TOUR OF 2015 THIS WINTER

In April MONO embarked on a 27-date European tour that wrapped up earlier this month which was followed by the news of a US tour in June that'll take them to 16 states, and now the instrumental rock four-piece have announced they'll be returning for a further 15 shows across Europe starting in Lithuania on October 21st and ending at Leeds' Damnation Festival on November 7th.

Since their double album release 'The Last Dawn/Rays of Darkness' last year, MONO have seemingly toured non-stop, relentless in their intent of spreading their one of a kind sound that has put them at the forefront of the instrumental scene ever since their formation back in 1999. Their constant manipulation and pushing of boundaries within the post-rock genre has managed to pull in crowds worldwide, and with 2015 shaping up to be one of the band's busiest years, it doesn't look like MONO plan on slowing down any time soon.

Tickets for Damnation Festival and their London performance at Camden's Electric Ballroom are now on sale. You can also pick up MONO's 2014 albums 'The Last Dawn' and 'Rays Of Darkness' from Amazon.co.uk.

THE DISASTER POINTS BRING STREET PUNK TO JAPAN - FIRST ALBUM 'FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE' ANNOUNCED

FOR FANS OF: Dropkick Murphys, The Blue Hearts

For decades Japan has been one of the world's top exporters of quality punk rock acts from 80s stars The Blue Hearts and THE STALIN, and into the 90s with Teengenerate. But if there is one thing the land of the rising sun has lacked over the years it's the sound of Oi/street punk bands like America's Rancid or Dropkick Murphys, the UK's 4-Skins or Germany's Oxymoron. Luckily, THE DISASTER POINTS are here to fill that void.

This street punk foursome have been operating in the heart of Osaka since 2007, spreading their message of the plight of the working class drifter and earning themselves the title of Osaka's #1 (and possibly only) street punk band. Last year they joined independent label CATCH ALL RECORDS which homes a number of punk up-and-comers as well as being the stepping stone for top pop punkers TOTALFAT and Northern19, where they released their 3rd single 'HOMEWARD BOUND'.

Now after eight years THE DISASTER POINTS will be releasing their 1st album 'FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE' on June 3rd, and will feature newly recorded versions of their 3 singles including tracks from the 2008 debut release 'SING ALONG FOREVER' as well as all new songs 'BREAKING BAD BLUES' and 'DO NOT LET ME DOWN'.

FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE is now available for pre-order from CDJapan.co.jp and you can check out THE DISASTER POINTS previous work over on YouTube and SoundCould.

GLIM SPANKY ANNOUNCE FIRST FULL ALBUM 'SUNRISE JOURNEY'

FOR FANS OF: Shina Ringo, Janis Joplin

During their gig at the Tokyo Kinema Club on May 17th, rock and blues pair GLIM SPANKY announced their long-awaited 1st major album release 'SUNRISE JOURNEY' on July 22nd.

Vocalist Remi Matsuo and guitarist Hiroki Kamemoto met during their high school days in Nagano prefecture, assembling in 2007 and getting their first break in 2009 when they were elected as finalists at Flash Riot, an all teenage rock festival that puts the freshest new acts head to head for a chance at one million yen and various new musical equipment.

Like young Brit Jake Bugg and Ireland's The Strypes, GLIM SPANKY ride the wave of the 1960s and 1970s guitar revival scene, with Remi's husky voice and Hiroki's bluesy rock guitar backing taking them to new heights, captivating audiences everywhere they go.

The duo will also be releasing their 2nd single 'Riaru Onigokko' at the beginning of July, which will feature in legendary filmmaker Sion Sono's latest ultra-violent feature length Riaru Onigokko, an adaptation of a novel by the same name.
