Tokyo’s own all-female
rockabilly trio The 5,6,7,8’s, will head to Brighton on June 21st
to join the likes of London surf rock troop MFC Chicken and King
Salami & The Cumberland Three at Stay Sick‘s ‘Sicksville
A Go Go’ at Concorde 2!
The
5,6,7,8’s have been rocking the dance floor since the Fujiyama
sisters, two passionate rock and roll enthusiasts, formed the band
back in 1986. Though for most people in the west, the trio first came
to light after their appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s 2003 revenge
classic Kill Bill (and numerous TV commercials after that) with their
famous cover of The Rock-A-Teens’ 1959 foot tapping ‘Woo-Hoo’.
Now
the girls will take over Brighton for one night only, so if you want
to be part of one of the most swinging nights of the year, be sure
head on down and join the party!
