Last month THE TOMBOYS (formally NoName) took to The Pipeline for their first ever UK performance at London’s Japanese music showcase Japan Underground. Playing alongside indie rock locals The Johns, The Picaresque, and special guest Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) who performed along with backing band the Kobe Beef for a set of classic rock covers.

In town to record their debut EP, THE TOMBOYS took to the stage for a one off show chock-full of cutely spun rock and punk tunes, something which Japan have proven to excel at over the years. Despite being a fresh face to the UK, with around 95% of the audience not knowing much about them past they were once a SCANDAL cover band, this young quartet managed to cause a stir, getting the crowd moving and singing along to a mix of original songs and covers including My Generation and Police On My Back.
