waterweed have announced they’ll be making their UK live debut in 2018 as part of Manchester Punk Festival.
Forming in 2003, waterweed have become a staple in Japan’s underground post-hardcore and punk rock scene. After releasing their 2nd album Brightest in early 2017, the Osaka three-piece are now taking their sound to the UK for the first time at Manchester Punk Festival, joining 90+ top punk acts from across the globe including Iron Chic, Culture Shock, and Propagandhi.

MPF is a DIY punk rock festival spanning across 3-days in multiple venues across the city. In 2016 the festival was completely sold out in advance, and in 2017 it nearly sold out after increasing capacity.
In April waterweed will also join Canadian skate punk outfit Belvedere and UK progressive thrash troop ALMEIDA on their 5-date Japan tour.
