Maison book girl are headed to the UK this month for first time performances across the country, including set at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival 2018.
Formed in 2014, Maison book girl are part of the “new age” wave of idol groups breaking down the boundaries of what idol groups are thought to be. Their debut album bath room received critical acclaim, and saw the girls selling out their second headline show at Shibuya’s WWWX in a less than an hour. Not only performing music, the group also regularly appear in movies, and collaborate with designers.
The group have also announced the UK release of karma/bath room as their upcoming AA-side single, available on limited edition blue 7″ vinyl on May 18th.
On Friday they will perform alongside Kyary Pamyu Pamyu at THE ARCH in Brighton as part of this years Great Escape Festival, the city’s biggest music festival and the UK’s answer to SXSW.
