Mrs. GREEN APPLE have wrapped their ZENJIN MITO TO IM/MUTABLE ~Interlude Edition~ stadium tour, closing on July 5th at MUFG Stadium (Japan National Stadium) in Tokyo. The six-show tour drew roughly 390,000 people in person, and reached a combined audience of around 570,000 once streaming, live viewings, and karaoke viewings were counted.
The tour ran across two cities, with four dates at MUFG Stadium in April and July and two at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka in May. Those four National Stadium shows made Mrs. GREEN APPLE the first band, and the first act of any kind, to play the current stadium four times in a single tour. Only ARASHI had done the equivalent before, with four concerts in 2010 at the former National Stadium, which was later demolished and replaced by the present venue in 2019.
Four of the six performances, including the July 5th finale, were held exclusively for members of the band’s official fan club, Ringo Jam. Fan-club-only shows at a stadium of this scale are unprecedented in Japan, and celebrated Ringo Jam’s 10th anniversary. “IM/MUTABLE” combines “immutable” and “mutable”, capturing the balance between continuity and change as they enter Phase 3, which began on January 1st.
The finale was livestreamed across 15 platforms and relayed to 450 screens in 361 cinemas across Japan, plus 26 screens at 22 venues in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand. Fans could also watch from private karaoke rooms through JOYSOUND’s Miru Hako service. Together with the crowd inside MUFG Stadium, more than 250,000 people took in the tour finale.
Before roughly 70,000 fans on the closing night, Motoki Ohmori (vocals, guitar), Hiroto Wakai (guitar), and Ryoka Fujisawa (keys) moved through a career-spanning set that reached back to 2014 material from their debut mini-album ‘Introduction’. Ohmori noted the finale fell exactly 12 years to the day since the first ZENJIN MITO show, ZENJIN MITO TO CONFLICT ~Prelude Edition~, held on July 5th 2014 at Shibuya LUSH in Tokyo before their major-label debut.
The tour also lands during a standout stretch for the band commercially. Mrs. GREEN APPLE recently took their first No. 1 in the Artist Sales Total Ranking of Oricon’s First-Half Rankings 2026, while ‘Lilac’ became the fastest song to reach one billion cumulative streams in the history of Oricon’s streaming rankings.
During the finale, Ohmori revealed that a new full-length album is set for September 30th, with only one song’s vocals still to be recorded and its title already decided. He also briefly teased ‘Brand New’, the band’s Japanese theme song for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which was released digitally today ahead of the film’s July 31st opening.
