About JILUKA
JILUKA are a Tokyo visual kei metal band made up of vocalist Ricko, guitarist Sena, bassist Boogie, and drummer Zyean. Rooted in metalcore and djent, they have pushed their sound into increasingly experimental territory, combining extreme metal with electronic music, hip-hop, and gothic influences under a style they call Electro Gothic Metal, or EGM.
The band began defining EGM with 2022 single ‘BLVCK’, before pushing the style further through tracks including ‘VENΦM’, ‘S4VAGE’, ‘KVLT’, and ‘DeViLs’. Their music pairs highly technical instrumentation and punishing breakdowns with dubstep, rap, and electronics.
After building their following in Japan, JILUKA made a major international push with their first world tour, K4RMA, in 2024, including a sold-out UK debut at London’s The Underworld. They have since toured extensively across Europe, North America, and Latin America, supported Imminence on a 22-date North American tour, and appeared at festivals including Rock For People, Tuska, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, and Warped Tour. Their growing international profile has also attracted high-profile admirers, with The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan describing JILUKA as his favourite Japanese band in 2025.
