Sendai Kamotsu

Sendai Kamotsu are “a mysterious group of delivery men from Miyagi Prefecture” with 6 members, officially beginning activities in 2002. They play across a range of genres, from metal to country and enka, singing in the warm Miyagi dialect. The band’s website states “Six shapeshifting men who change their appearance every time you see them. What is their true form…?”, while also nodding to the members of NIGHTMARE, “Are they brothers with the members of Nightmare, or not… do they look alike, or not…?”.

The band are vocalist Chiba, listed as being 23 years old and in the Delivery Department, guitarist FULLFACE from the “Facial Weapon Department” who notably is listed as being 82 years old, weighing 300kg, and being 12cm tall; guitarist Reonald Satty Schtrouz from office administration and accounting, bassist Wang Chen Chen from the Overseas Business Division, drummer GIGAFLARE from the warehouse, and manipulator KURIHARA who is listed as being 3 years old, 100kg, and from Nerima.

They have released 5 studio albums, starting with ‘Okuru Kotoba’ on April Fool’s day 2004. Citing company bankruptcy, Sendai Kamotsu went on hiatus in 2009 following their Budokan show, Fukyou no Kaze~Sendai Kamotsu ~Forever~, before reviving in 2011 as Chiba stated that Japan needed a hero.

The band have continued to tour and release music, with latest single ‘Icchi! Icchi!!’ landing on August 5th 2026.
