0.8Syooogeki to disband this autumn and release new video for ‘CraZy,Faster,CraZy’

0.8Syooogeki have announced that they will end all band activities as of this autumn.

The duo dropped the news on their official website earlier this week, two months after the release of their latest EP Zarathustra. Both members, as well as supporting members, of the group gave their final farewell messages, with frontman Tadaomi Tōyama stating “I borrowed the name Tadaomi Tōyama from my childhood friend who passed away, and I was able to make beautiful things with it”.

J.M. went on to say “I have a strong love for these songs, it is very sad that I can not play them again, but I am proud that I have good songs and met many people”.

Coming together in 2008 and performing for the first time in 2009, 0.8Syooogeki have garnered attention worldwide with their post-punk sound, manic visuals and extreme live performances.

On May 12th they’ll start their 3-date Zarathustra tour for shows in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo.

A day before the announcement 0.8Syooogeki also released their new video for CraZy,Faster,CraZy, taken from their 2014 EP Inari Sushi Girl’s Tears….
