REVIEW: CROSSFAITH, ELECTRIC BALLROOM, LONDON, 19/10/2018
Since making their UK live debut in 2012, Crossfaith have become a staple in the country’s metalcore scene.
World renowned for their alliance of metal and electronic dance music, the band takes the crowd on a high-octane trip between a metal show and a hard electro dance night.
The energy on display from every member of the band is unconquerable, showing no sign of wear and tear even after an immense set of room shaking drum solos, rip-roaring breakdowns, and apocalyptic screams.
Wrapping up a trade-mark explosive drum segment, a powerful encore, and a surprise appearance from Enter Shikari front-man Rou Reynolds on the track Freedom, Crossfaith delivered one of the best, if not THE best, UK set yet.
With 4 albums under their belt, tonight was a showcase of everything Crossfaith has managed to achieve in the last 12 years, and judging from the crowd’s response to their new material, the band still has yet to miss a beat.
There aren’t many other metalcore bands out there that do it as well as Crossfaith. Since coming together in 2006 they have honed their craft and developed a truly standout sound. This combined with the group’s unstoppable energy and attention demanding stage presence, makes Crossfaith’s live sets one of the best the genre has to offer.
