KOUKI, best known as the vocalist of visual-kei group D=OUT, has released a new solo album ‘HELL IN WORLD TRIGGER’ (listed internationally as ‘IN WORLD’) under his project OGRE ISLAND (Onigashima). The album is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Described as a “best-and-worst masterpiece”, the album continues OGRE ISLAND’s dark and theatrical approach, shaped by KOUKI’s visual-kei background and live showmanship. The release arrives during the latter half of the Sachi no Ongaeshi Tour ‘25: “Ikitsuita Saki wa Onigashima!”, a six-date tour featuring KOUKI alongside a full band: Ibuki (D=OUT) and YOSHIHIRO on guitar, SHUSE on bass, Junji Tokai (Kiryu) on drums, and Taito Fujiwara on keyboards.
The album follows KOUKI’s recent performance in Paris as part of Visual-kei Night, his first live performance in France since 2009. Held at Backstage By The Mill, the event coincided with Paris Fashion Week, where KOUKI also modelled for designer SHINO.
In recent months, KOUKI has remained active across multiple creative projects, including the August release of D=OUT’s single ‘愛-aikagi-鍵’.
