Tatsuya Kitani and BABYMETAL team up for Hell’s Paradise Season 2 opening theme

Tatsuya Kitani has collaborated with BABYMETAL on the opening theme for Hell’s Paradise Season 2, which begins airing on January 11th, 2026. The song, titled ‘Kasuka na Hana’, was written and composed by Kitani specifically for the anime adaptation of Yuji Kaku’s manga.

The collaboration was announced during Jump Festa 2026, where the second promotional video for the series was unveiled. Featuring ‘Kasuka na Hana’, the PV is a first look at the new season’s conflict between Gabimaru, the executioners, and the immortal Tensen.

Tatsuya Kitani Comment:

“A flower that possesses both the strength to take root in the soil and the fragility to sway in the wind, remaining unshaken by anything and simply existing as it should. A person who accepts uncertainty and realises themselves while living through hesitation. Such a way of being, in which wavering and doubt bloom like a flower, is modest yet dignified, and represents an ideal form. I wrote this song with a longing for such an “ephemeral flower”.”

SU-METAL (BABYMETAL) Comment:

“We often collaborate with metal bands, but because this was a collaboration with Tatsuya Kitani, we were able to draw out a new side of BABYMETAL, and that truly makes us happy.

When I heard this song, I felt that the dignified, blooming flower taught me the preciousness and beauty of ‘the existence that is oneself’. I would be happy if everyone could find the small, precious happiness they want to protect, like their own ‘kasuka na hana’.”

Based on Yuji Kaku’s manga, Hell’s Paradise has surpassed 6.4 million copies in circulation and remains one of the most widely recognised titles to emerge from Shonen Jump+. Season 2, produced by MAPPA, continues the story of Gabimaru and the condemned criminals and executioners forced to confront the immortal Tensen in their pursuit of the elixir of life.

The first collaboration between Tatsuya Kitani and BABYMETAL arrives as Hell’s Paradise Season 2 begins airing on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks from 23:45 JST on January 11th. International streaming begins shortly after via Crunchyroll.
