Fuji Rock Festival 2026 line-up highlights

Hi-STANDARD

Hi-STANDARD will play Fuji Rock for the first time in 27 years, returning to Naeba for the first time since 1999. Formed in 1991 by Akihiro Namba, Ken Yokoyama, and Akira Tsuneoka, the band became central to Japan’s punk scene through releases including the mini-album ‘Last of Sunny Day’ (1994) and major-label debut ‘Growing Up’ (1995).

ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION

ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION appear at Fuji Rock as they continue their 30th anniversary year. Formed in 1996, they remain one of Japan’s most enduring guitar bands, with a catalogue that continues to attract fans across generations. In March, AKG will release the ‘Fujieda EP’, recorded at frontman Masafumi Gotoh’s newly opened MUSIC inn Fujieda studio, before their “Thirty Revolutions” anniversary concert at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena in April.

Fujii Kaze

Saturday will see Fujii Kaze make his Fuji Rock debut. Combining R&B, soul, and contemporary J-pop, Kaze has become one of Japan’s most visible exports of the past decade. The Fuji Rock performance precedes his Prema World Tour, opening on November 14th at Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka before visiting six cities across Asia, including Osaka, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He’ll also hold a domestic Pre: Prema Tour starting in July, his first Japan tour in three and a half years.

XG

XG will also make their Fuji Rock debut on July 25. The seven-member pop group released their first full-length album, ‘THE CORE – 核’, in January 2026, entering the Billboard 200 in the U.S. and reaching No.1 on Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums and Download Albums charts. Lead single ‘HYPNOTIZE’ topped the Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan chart for two consecutive weeks and appeared in 33 countries on Spotify’s Viral Top 50. Their second world tour, XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, is currently underway across Japan, with overseas dates to be announced.

Kaku P-MODEL to release first album in 7 years, 'unZIP'

Susumu Hirasawa + EJIN

Composer Susumu Hirasawa began his career in 1979 with P-MODEL before moving into experimental electronic work and building an extensive solo catalogue. Internationally, he is known for soundtrack work on films including Paprika, Berserk, and Millennium Actress. His performances with EJIN, featuring collaborators SSHO and Tazz, have been described as “electronic pop opera”, built around towering synth rigs, industrial guitar, and laser-cut staging, with Hirasawa’s high operatic vocal style.

Advance ticket sales for Fuji Rock Festival 2026 began at noon on February 20th via the official website. Three-day passes, single-day tickets, camping passes and parking tickets are now available, with further artists due to be announced in the coming months.
