Fukuro cancel Fukuoka show as they and DRUGS address online allegations

Visual kei acts Fukuro and DRUGS have issued statements addressing information circulating online about a member, with Fukuro cancelling the Fukuoka date of their ongoing tour.

On July 2nd, Fukuro, DRUGS, and international management agency Killing Daze each posted preliminary statements acknowledging what they described as information about a member currently spreading online. None of the statements identify the member by name or detail the nature of the allegations, and all three say they are still verifying the facts before making a formal report. Yoshiatsu, a founding member of both Fukuro and DRUGS, is the only member shared by both bands.

Fukuro confirmed the cancellation of their July 4th show at Fukuoka Queblick, part of the six-city free tour WELCOME TO FUKURO that began on June 28th. In their statement, the band said they could not deliver the performance fans deserve under the current circumstances. The band are still deciding whether the remaining dates will go ahead.

The tour was due to continue at SENDAI BIRDLAND on July 11th, IMAIKE GROW on the 19th, Kitahorie club vijon on the 20th, and Ikebukuro EDGE on the 26th. Fukuro’s third overseas tour, ROAD TO LATIN AMERICA, is currently still scheduled for October, with dates in São Paulo, Santiago, and Mexico City.

Killing Daze, which handles the band’s overseas activities under an agency contract, asked anyone with firsthand information to contact them directly rather than spread unverified claims, and said it would update on any impact to planned overseas activities when able.

EBW will provide further updates as the situation develops.
