Punk and self-described “stinky girl band” Zinchikurandan have paired up with “comic shock” punk band RYUKETSU BLIZZARD for ‘Mae kara kanran-sha’ (‘Ah! Ferris wheel from the front!!’), from their split album ‘Itekomashi Bakuretsu Doro Shuketsu Shito Hen’. The music video rolled in on September 3rd.

‘Ah! Ferris wheel from the front!!’ is composed by Zinchikurandan, with lyrics by vocalist Benisuzumetafa, and “punk calls” from RYUKETSU BLIZZARD. It’s noisy and erratic, with melodic moments and mathy guitars slotted in-between. The video also features both bands, including shots filmed on and around the Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel at Kasai Rinkai Park, Tokyo.

It follows RYUKETSU BLIZZARD’s video for ‘Resurrection’, featuring guest vocals from Benisuzumetafa, released on August 21st. Also featured on the split album, ‘Resurrection’ has an emo-tinged punk vibe, with melancholic lyrics revolving around the search for the true self. It gives listeners an opportunity to hear a less abrasive sound from Benisuzumetafa, trading punk barks for heartfelt singing.

‘Itekomashi Bakuretsu Doro Shuketsu Shito Hen’ is Zinchikurandan’s first split release with self-described “four-piece outlaw scumf*** punk rock band” RYUKETSU BLIZZARD, as well as their first nationally distributed CD release. The six-track album, also presented in English as ‘Beat them up!! Explosion Doro!! The Bloody Death Match!!’, features three tracks from each band, with members also making guest appearances throughout.

Released on September 2nd through Diwphalanx Records, the split album is now available across streaming platforms, as well as on CD via CDJapan.

Zinchikurandan and RYUKETSU BLIZZARD are also taking the release on the road with ‘The Bloody Death Match Tour’. After opening at Shimokitazawa SHELTER in Tokyo on September 5th, the two bands will play Shinsaibashi PANGEA in Osaka on October 17th and Nagoya HUCK FINN on October 18th.

About Zinchikurandan

Zinchikurandan are a four-piece punk band based in Tokyo, formed in January 2025. The line-up consists of vocalist Benisuzumetafa, guitarist Suzukinesiology, drummer Gochiru Wakaba, and bassist Shiki Utagawa, who joined following the departure of Shima Tsukue. Their official artist bio describes them as a "stinky girl band", based on the idea that humans are inherently dirty and smelly creatures no matter how hard they try. Known for chaotic live shows, Zinchikurandan lean into punk and riot grrrl with an intentionally confrontational sense of humour. Benisuzumetafa has performed in her underwear, the members throw themselves into the crowd, and their songs and stage presentation have included subjects such as tampons, vomiting, and being a stinky woman. The band released their first EP, 'Naguriaidabutsu', on March 1st, 2025. They followed it with the singles 'What a Surprise!' in February 2026, 'Gravitational Withdrawal' in April, and 'Vomit' in June. On September 2nd, 2026, Zinchikurandan released the six-track split album 'Itekomashi Bakuretsu Doro Shuketsu Shito Hen' with RYUKETSU BLIZZARD, featuring mutual guest appearances across the record. Benisuzumetafa also runs her own YouTube channel, where she shares covers, original solo songs, daily-life videos, and livestreams.
