Menhera metal visual kei band Lyrica have announced their disbandment following vocalist Usagi’s disappearance. Their upcoming European shows have been cancelled, while scheduled Japan performances will feature a support vocalist.
On January 17th, the band announced via their official social media that Usagi had been missing for several days and that they had been unable to make contact. As the days went on, they cancelled multiple live shows, including birthday events for drummer Mona, bassist Kakeru and Usagi. Refunds were issued for all affected dates.
Lyrica made an official announcement on February 12th stating that Usagi is safe, following contact from a family member. However, after discussion, the group decided they couldn’t continue with Usagi and would instead disband.
The band were scheduled to perform two dates in Cologne in June 2026. The June 6th show had already sold out, leading to the addition of a second date the following day. Details regarding refunds for the cancelled European shows are expected soon.
Their February 27th show at Ikebukuro Black Hole will go ahead with support vocalist Mikan. Lyrica will hold their final one-man show, titled “Disband”, on March 13th at Zirco Tokyo, although the band have not confirmed whether Usagi or a support vocalist will perform.

International fans responded with relief at confirmation that Usagi is safe, while expressing shock and sadness at the band’s sudden disbandment. Many shared messages of support for the members’ future activities.
