LUNA SEA have announced a memorial flower offering ceremony for late drummer Shinya.
In a statement published on February 27th, the band said they wished to create “an opportunity to warmly send him off as soon as possible” together with fans who had supported “LUNA SEA’s heartbeat and the one-of-a-kind presence that was Shinya”.
Titled Shinya Memorial Flower Offering Ceremony 〜Eternal MeLoDy〜, the event will take place on Sunday, March 8th at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama. Entry will be divided into 10 timed sessions running from 11:00 to 20:00.
LUNA SEA formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1989, and all five members come from the region. By holding the ceremony in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai district, the band keeps the memorial within their home prefecture.
