Sendai Kamotsu, the mysterious delivery company collective and comedic rock band who definitely aren’t NIGHTMARE, have released their latest single ‘Icchi! Icchi!!’. The single dropped on August 5th, while the full music video came on August 12th.
‘Icchi! Icchi!!’ is the band’s first single in over 2 years, and comes during their 25th anniversary year. It’s a mixed rock track with sounds pulling from metal, punk, ska and more. The lyrics deal with personal conflicts, war, and the need to work together to get along, with the line “We’re all human, Let’s work together” closing out the track before chants of “icchi” (one) and “ecchi” (perverted) remind us who this is.
The music video sees our favourite delivery company performing on a baseball field, with frontman Chiba leading the rest of the band in training. Whether they’re actually training for baseball is up for debate, however, with Chiba even doing headstands on the pitcher’s mound.
‘Icchi! Icchi!!’ is available now on streaming platforms and CD, with two physical versions available. Type A features the title track and ‘Atsu wa natsui’, alongside an M-CARD containing the music video and making-of footage, plus recordings of the songs from the single taken from the band’s 2026 tour final. Type B features both songs from Type A, as well as a third track, ‘Jontana’. All three songs are also available digitally.
The band are currently on their summer Japan tour, which began in Nagoya on August 11th before heading to Osaka on August 16th. Upcoming dates include a hometown show at Sendai Rensa on August 25th and Kawasaki CLUB CITTA’ on August 28th, before the tour final at Shibuya’s Spotify O-EAST on August 29th.
