As part of her five-year anniversary celebrations, Japanese pop culture and fashion icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has announced the release date for her 1st best of album KPP BEST as well as the dates for her 2016 5iVE YEARS MONSTER WORLD TOUR starting this May.
It’s hard to believe that it has been nearly five years since KPP first appeared on our screens with the sickly sweet viral hit PONPONPON back in 2011, but now, four albums, two world tours, and over 300 million views on YouTube later, she prepares to take on the world yet again for a seven date world tour that’ll take her to Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, London, San Francisco, Taipei, and Tokyo.
In addition to this, KPP BEST is slated for release on May 25th and will showcase 23 of her career defining tracks over two CDs, including Invader Invader, Kira Kira Killer, and Fashion Monster. The album will also feature a brand-new song, 5iVE YEARS MONSTER, with the first 55,555 copies of the limited edition coming packaged with an additional 10 track mix by producer Nakata Yasutaka and a DVD made specifically for this release.
