Fresh from making their first ever appearance at Manchester Punk Festival, waterweed took to the Back Room at Guildford’s Star Inn for their last UK set before crossing the channel for shows in France, the Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
A staple in Japan’s hardcore scene, the Osaka born three-piece gave the Guildford crowd a refined mix of melodic-hardcore tracks from their 2015 EP Ashes to their latest LP Brightest.
One of the most anticipated underground acts to hit our shores, waterweed proved they have the potential to spread their music internationally and make a name for themselves within the UK’s own hardcore/punk scene.
WATERWEED ANNOUNCE UK RECORD DEAL WITH LOCKJAW RECORDS
Earlier this year waterweed joined up with UK independent label Lockjaw Records to re-release the band’s 2017 LP Brightest across the UK and Europe. You can pick-up at copy at lockjawrecords.co.uk.
