JILUKA drop unreleased track ‘Moksha’ ahead of best-of album ‘XNDII’

EGM band JILUKA have just dropped ‘Moksha’, a previously unreleased track described as a rare unreleased song. The track dropped on YouTube today, August 13th.

‘Moksha’ leans back into JILUKA’s earlier metalcore and djent roots, stepping away from the EGM direction heard on recent singles. Portland-based producer Jeff Dunne, who has worked with the band since 2022, helmed the sound engineering.

The track serves as a preview of JILUKA’s upcoming best-of album titled ‘XNDII’, a nod to their 2019 best-of album‘XANADU’. Featuring 34 tracks across 2 discs, the album is described as a “prehistory of EGM”, and is a summary of the journey leading up to the birth of EGM. It also celebrates the band’s 10 year anniversary. Fan-favourites such as ‘BaLa-DeDa’, ‘Raison d’etre’, ‘Twisted Pain’, ‘M.A.D’, and more feature alongside ‘Moksha’.

Though the band’s 5 EGM singles, such as ‘VENΦM’ and ‘KVLT’, are not present, a new EGM single is promised for November.

Each song has been re-recorded as faithfully to the original as possible, and mastered with the latest cutting-edge technology. The album will release digitally across major streaming platforms on August 22nd, ahead of the band’s final leg of their THE KVLT world tour. A venue-exclusive 2-disc CD set will be released at the tour final at Zepp Shinjuku on November 18th.
