The behind-the-scenes video for Fujii Kaze’s ‘Prema’ music video has been released on YouTube. Filmed in Thailand, the video for the title track from Fujii’s third studio album has already surpassed 9.1 million views since its release on September 5th.
In the newly released behind-the-scenes video, Fujii talks about the filming process and his connection to the song. “This music video is gonna be very Fujii Kaze, like almost 100% Fujii Kaze”, he says, describing ‘Prema’ as “too close to me, too personal… almost like I’m introducing myself”.
Feeling he couldn’t visualise the song objectively, Fujii handed the project to his friend and director, MESS. “Speaking of this music video, I basically left everything up to him”, he explains.
“And my director MESS said this is his favourite song out of this album ‘Prema’. So I was like, show me your love or something. I left everything up to him.”
The video shows Fujii filming across rural Thailand with director MESS and the crew, providing a look at the shoot’s production setup. Scenes include Kaze interacting with local villagers, riding in a truck along country roads, and filming beside elephants.

The artist also reflects on how naturally the final result came together, feeling entirely true to him.
“It’s weird but this entire music video feels like me, like 100% me. Just like the song. It’s strange, but I feel like this music video is so Fujii Kaze-coded. Something’s happening.”
In his signature spiritual outlook, Fujii closes the video with a message for listeners:
“I want them to feel the highest version of themselves, basically. Let them guide you. Open your heart and open your invisible eye or something. Let your heart open and surrender to something higher, then leave everything up to them. You don’t have to worry about anything. The highest version of yourself will guide you wherever you may go, or to wherever you want to be.”
