Hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts have made history in the United States, with ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ and ‘Otonoke’ each receiving Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Both tracks have surpassed 500,000 units in the U.S., making Creepy Nuts the first Japanese artists to earn RIAA Gold for two separate Japanese-language songs. According to the RIAA’s official database, ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ was certified in February 2025, followed by ‘Otonoke’ in August 2025.
Founded in 1952, the RIAA awards Gold and Platinum certifications based on U.S. sales and streaming data. ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ has now surpassed 900 million streams globally and reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200. Meanwhile, ‘Otonoke’ was named the most-streamed Japanese song overseas in 2025, according to Billboard Japan and Spotify year-end data.
The duo of R-Shitei and DJ Matsunaga previously held the top three positions simultaneously on Billboard’s Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan chart with ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’, ‘Otonoke’, and ‘Mirage’.

In parallel with the RIAA announcement, pre-orders have launched in the United States and Japan for a limited edition 2-LP vinyl pressing of their latest album ‘LEGION’. Designed specifically for analogue playback, the release features new mixing and mastering from Alex Tumay, whose credits include Kanye West, and Mike Bozzi, known for his work with Tyler, The Creator. The vinyl edition is set for release on April 30th.
The U.S. recognition follows a major year in Japan. In February 2025, Creepy Nuts headlined their first Tokyo Dome concert, drawing approximately 50,000 fans, before completing a sold-out Asia tour spanning five cities and seven shows later that year.
Their global schedule continues with the recently announced Creepy Nuts North America Tour 2026, which includes appearances at Coachella on April 10th and 17th, alongside headline dates at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, Chicago’s The Auditorium, and Mexico City’s Pabellón Oeste.
