EMNW bring Y2K mixture-rock to the UK this May with Leeds, London and Great Escape dates

Mixture-rock duo EMNW will visit the UK for the first time this May with their EMNW To KAMASU UK TOUR 2026, combining two headline club shows with showcase appearances at The Great Escape in Brighton.

The two-MC duo, formed by Emma Yuki and Menu in March 2024, will begin the four-date tour at The Key Club in Leeds on May 9th before heading to London for a show at The Black Heart on May 11th, a venue that frequently hosts alternative and heavy acts in Camden. The tour wraps up in Brighton with two performances during The Great Escape on May 13th and 14th.

EMNW emerged after the pair met through their management company and realised they had previously crossed paths during the Senko Riot audition. The project initially leaned toward pop covers before the duo shifted direction with the heavier debut single ‘Choushi doudai?’, released in November 2024. That track set the tone for their mixture-rock approach, pairing heavy guitar riffs with rap vocals and club-ready rhythms.

Their sound draws from the Y2K-era mixture-rock movement, a Japanese scene that fused punk, hip hop and metal. The duo often describe their performances as “hard, cute and aggressive”, with crowd interaction at the centre of the set. The phrase ‘KAMASU’ comes from their second single, released in December 2024. In Japanese slang, the term means to go all out, an ethos that matches the duo’s ambition to push their music beyond Japan.

In 2025, EMNW landed a slot on the ROOKIE A GO GO stage at Fuji Rock Festival ’25, and managed to catch the attention of Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst with their cover of ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’.

EMNW released their self-titled debut album on March 4th 2026. The album includes ‘Get it, Get it’, written and arranged by QON, the solo project of Survive Said The Prophet guitarist Ivan, with drums by Crossfaith’s Tatsuya Amano.

The duo are currently touring Japan on the 25-date EMNW To KAMASU – GOOD VIBES ONLY JAPAN TOUR 2026, which runs through June and includes a final show at Tokyo’s Ebisu LIQUIDROOM.
