KIZU reveal Nippon Budokan return as mystery countdown hits zero during Zepp Haneda encore

KIZU will return to Nippon Budokan on February 27th, 2027 for their final performance before partially suspending band activities. The visual rock band revealed the date on September 5th at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo, the opening night of their six-city Zepp tour Amaterasu Enjun.

KIZU closed the show with ‘AMATELAS’, the opening track from their recently released “1st LAST ALBUM” ‘Gokuraku yori Gokujou no Ame’. While the band were performing the song, the countdown reached zero and the Nippon Budokan show was announced to the audience.

Simply titled Budokan, the concert falls on the same date KIZU had already given for the partial suspension of their activities, making it their final stage before the hiatus. It will be KIZU’s second standalone appearance at Nippon Budokan, having played their first one-man show there, Homura, on January 6th, 2025.

That date was first disclosed in June, when KIZU said the decision followed repeated discussions about their future. Each member needed time to face and reflect upon themselves in order to present the band in a better form, they explained. A return date has not been decided.

In an interview published by Lawson Ticket in August, vocalist LiME laughed off the coming break as a “summer holiday”, while saying he wants KIZU to create a single moment that stays in somebody’s memory for life.

Released on August 5th and billed as their “1st LAST ALBUM”, ‘Gokuraku yori Gokujou no Ame’ is KIZU’s first original full-length since they began activities in 2017, following a catalogue made up largely of singles, limited releases, and the 2021 best-of album ‘Kataki’.

Doors for Budokan open at 4pm, with the show beginning at 5pm. Tickets range from ¥3,800 B seats to ¥30,000 arena VIP tickets, although B seats will only go on sale with the general release. The first presale for members of KIZU’s official blog magazines opened at 7pm on September 5th and runs until September 14th. A wider official presale is scheduled to begin in October.
