XG will make history this June by becoming the first Japanese group to perform at Wembley Stadium, with the seven-piece set to play Capital’s Summertime Ball 2026. The booking also makes them the first Japanese act to appear at the mini-festival since it began in 2009.
Hosted annually by British radio station Capital, the Summertime Ball draws around 80,000 attendees and has previously featured Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Coldplay, and Harry Styles. Last year’s edition saw performances from Mariah Carey, Busted vs McFly, Rita Ora, and Jessie J.
Taking place on Saturday June 6th, this year’s full lineup includes XG, Calvin Harris, Niall Horan, Fatboy Slim, RAYE, Myles Smith, Bebe Rexha, Robyn, December 10, Sekou, Lola Young, Jason Derulo, Sienna Spiro, Stephen Sanchez, and MEEK.
Since debuting in 2022, XG have performed at roughly 20 overseas festivals. Last year they were the only Japanese act on the bill at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2025, headlining the Sahara Stage and ranking second on global X trends, with the performance entering the top five trending topics in 11 countries.
XG are currently on their second world tour, XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, in support of debut full-length album ‘THE CORE – 核’, released on January 23rd. The album provided the group’s first entry inside the top 100 of the US Billboard 200. Their Japan leg, which began on February 6th, has covered 16 shows across Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukui, Sendai, Kobe, Fukuoka, and Tokyo, with further dates scheduled across Asia, North America, the UK and Europe, Australia and Latin America.
XG are also confirmed for their first Fuji Rock appearance on July 25th, and will perform as a second headliner at Head in the Clouds: LA on August 8th.
Tickets go on general sale on Thursday April 30th at 9am exclusively via Global Player.
