Loud rock visual kei band lynch. have unveiled the video for ‘ICE’, taken from their upcoming 16th album ‘CLIMAX’. The album is set to drop on July 1st, both physically and digitally, and will be the band’s first full original album release in over 3 years.
‘ICE’ serves as the lead track of the new album, depicting a world of “freezing sadness” and “burning passion”. The music video, revealed on June 19th, adds to the worldview of the track, with its cold, desolate imagery.
The band also released an album preview for ‘CLIMAX’ on YouTube. The album features 10 tracks, including an introduction, and ‘ICE’. Starting on June 27th at 9pm JST, for four consecutive nights, the remaining album tracks will premiere on their YouTube channel, 2 each night. Day 1 will feature ‘CLIMAX’ and ‘PARASITIC E.D.E.N’, day 2 ‘GERO’ and ‘PRISM RAY’; day 3 will be ‘SILENCE’ and ‘A.C.H.E.’, and finally day 4 will round out the album premiere with ‘BRINGER’ and ‘ZEALOT’.
‘CLIMAX’ will release both digitally and physically, with a limited edition CD version also available. The limited edition includes a Blu-ray featuring the music video for ‘ICE’ as well as a making of feature.
lynch. will begin their IGNITE THE CLIMAX Japan nationwide tour on July 12th at Osaka BIGCAT. The 18-date tour will wrap up on September 27th at Kumamoto’s B.9 V1. For more information, head to the band’s official website.
