On March 18th AA= dropped the third releases in a series collaboration singles, FREE THE MONSTER, featuring guest vocals from both Crossfaith lead Kenta Koie and Coldrain’s Masato.
Last year AA= joined with J.M. of 0.8Syooogeki for the first in a string singles →MIRAI→ (POST MIRAI), followed in quick succession by M SPECIES with Dragon Ash frontman KJ. The heaviest of the lot, FREE THE MONSTER is a scorching politically charged shout along track with one of the biggest breakdowns of the year so far to boot.
Speaking about the collaboration, Kenta said “The first time I saw TAKESHI UEDA was on stage more than 10 years ago. Since then I have been longing to make a song with him. Masato is my biggest rival, yet the best of friends, no doubt this will be an important song in today’s music scene.”
If the name TAKESHI UEDA sounds familiar, he, and their guitarist Minoru Jokima, were members of the celebrated digital hardcore band THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS who garnered international recognition with their 1999 album Osc-Dis and which was driven by their hit single Pulse. The all star line-up also includes drummer Nobuaki Kaneko (RIZE), and lead vocalist Takayoshi Shirakawa (BACK DROP BOMB).
