Supergroup GUMMY have unveiled the teaser for their first EP titled ‘GIVE ME GUMMY’. The EP is due for release on April 29th on CD.
GUMMY, formed of members from multiple well loved visual kei acts, made their debut in January of this year with ‘Kōri no ketsumatsu’, their first music video. ‘GIVE ME GUMMY’ will feature that track alongside 5 others.

A teaser video, revealed on April 22nd, previews each song from the EP. The release continues with the raw rock sound we first heard in ‘Kōri no ketsumatsu’. GUMMY’s analogue ethos leads to an audibly human record, standing out in this era of digitisation and AI generation. This ethos extends further, with the EP not yet having any confirmed digital release.

All 3 dates of their upcoming GIVE ME GUMMY Japan tour are sold out. However, fans will also have a chance to see the band in person at multiple instore events across Japan during early May.
In other news, in a recent interview in volume 29 of PHY magazine, GUMMY guitarist Mad Dangerous clarified his current “character”: an employee at a cross-dressing girls’ bar run by their manager. He noted that the band’s theme wasn’t initially about cross-dressing—although he liked the image of Kurt Cobain wearing a floral dress—but after vocalist Gara joined, the theme fell into place.
Meanwhile, bassist KOHTA said that if he were to cross-dress it would be “a disaster”. He moved on, describing drummer Lotty as a “Scandinavian beauty”, Lotty retorting that he’s actually just “an old man”. They also explained that their band activities are just a hobby, but that it’s “selling surprisingly well”.
The EP is now available for preorder from CDJapan.
