KOSHO drops heavy hitting Eurobeat track ‘KING OF THE VIP’ feat. Dave Rodgers

Gyaru-o talent KOSHO has released his 2nd single, ‘KING OF THE VIP’ featuring Eurobeat legend Dave Rodgers. The single released digitally alongside the music video on June 29th.

‘KING OF THE VIP’ is a hard hitting Eurobeat banger, and an homage to KOSHO’s favourite cultures; gyaru, Eurobeat, para para, and Japan’s VIP and custom car scene. The track, produced by Dave Rodgers and para para group, club night, and music producers Eurobeat Stadium, features samples of classic Eurobeat tracks igniting a strong image of the Heisei era.

KOSHO said of the track:

“KING OF THE VIP” is a song created with my deepest respect for the cultures I have loved since childhood—Gyaru, EUROBEAT, Para Para, and Japan’s VIP & custom car scene.

The story takes place at a nighttime PA (highway parking area).

VIP cars, drift cars, powerful sound systems, Para Para dancers…
A place where people passionate about cars and Gyaru culture gather to compete with pride and style.

To polish your car is to polish yourself.

Just as we customize our cars with aero parts and wheels, we express ourselves through our hairstyles and fashion. This song represents the idea that a driver and their car become one.

At the nighttime PA, everyone can be a hero.

And just like engines, hearts can overheat too.

The lyrics are filled with playful double meanings—comparing the elegant body lines of a VIP car with the beauty of a Gyaru, and comparing the excitement of falling in love to an engine overheating. They’re little details that car enthusiasts will surely appreciate.

Collaborating with Dave Rodgers, whose music I’ve listened to for over 20 years, is truly a dream come true.

The music video features real custom cars, Gyaru, and Gyaru-o who are active in today’s scene. It was also made possible thanks to the support of the legendary VIP car brand JUNCTION PRODUCE, with several scenes paying tribute to their classic promotional videos.

Our goal is to bring the dazzling spirit of Japan’s Heisei era into the Reiwa generation.

Our legend starts here once again.”

Its accompanying music video is an exhilarating ride through the earlier mentioned cultures. Gyaru models from LOALO feature alongside Angeleek gyarusa members, even having a sweet mid-video congratulations on the graduation of Rebra and Fukitisu (written in a portmanteau as “Rebutisu”). Other appearances include drift driver and vehicle enthusiast Yuuramomo, para para choreographers, and many car & bike owners and their vehicles. The video is sponsored by JUNCTION PRODUCE, a parts brand for Japanese luxury cars.

The song also has a para para routine choreographed by KOSHO, Eurobeat Stadium’s Suzujun, and friends Kikkun and Masaacy. A short video showing the chorus choreography was posted to KOSHO’s X (formerly Twitter) account, aiming to get fans learning and dancing together. He says “It’s a catchy choreography that’s easy to remember, even for para para beginners”.

He also requests that VIP car, drift car, and custom car enthusiasts use the song as background music when posting videos of their vehicles, with promise that if it goes viral you’ll receive stickers when you meet at an event.
